Bonfire Night - Lewes

This review is a little late but only by a day. On Monday, early evening , I travelled down to Lewes to join in with the festivities.

Arriving at about 6.30pm I parked the car under the cliff and went into town to check out the marches from the various societies.

Wednesday Evening

Ok my post today comes from a class room at the Bridge Community Centre in Moulsecoomb or however you spell it. It's week three of the course and it all seems to be going well. All the class have at least one blog up and some have two.

Travelling Tales

A few weeks ago a friend and I were travelling once again in the former east. The picture on the left was taken on the border area of Bulgaria and Turkey.
The picture shows a gun emplacement featuring the turret of a wartime Russian tank which is fitted into a concrete bunker. The bunkers were built in about 1948 as part of the iron curtain initiative.

This gun emplacement was not too far from a road which lead to Turkey and was one of five which we could see making a line defence up to a hill.

Ok once that's done, we can set up a blog by going to www.blogger.com. Here you will be asked to complete some details and also to chose a template. Without too much difficulty we should be on our way.
